The CLI prints the code and why the error happened, with details such as a file name or a field. The fix and a link to this page follow. With --json, the same parts are in errors of the envelope.

What to do

The command needs one project, but the name you gave matches none, or the workspace has several projects and you gave no name.

1. Run x18n status to list the project names.
2. Pass one of them with --project <name>.

Commands that write files (set, apply, rename, delete, fill, format, extract, prompt) always need one project in a monorepo.

Exit code

The CLI exits with code 2.
